AirAsia’s group Chief Executive Tony Fernandes quit to protest

His Facebook account has around 670000 followers. In a series of tweets said he’s quitting the platform after the live streaming of mass shooting in New Zealand, criticising Facebook for not taking timely action. A gunman shot the video as he carried out the attack. He is also contemplating to discontinue Twitter, he has around 1.29 million followers there. He earlier has expressed concern over hate being spread on various social media platforms.

Fernandes is also co-owner of English soccer club Queens Park Rangers. In past Elon Musk of Tesla has left the platform and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak threatened to do so too.
